How to Plan Your Vision Board in 3-Steps

If you can visualize yourself achieving a goal, you have the capacity to make it happen.

I truly believe that God doesn't give you dreams for nothing.

He has equipped you to make them reality, so trust Him and take a baby step or a LEAP toward your dream today!

One way you can do that is to create an epic vision board!

I’ve had a lot of people tell me, “A vision board sounds like fun, but I wouldn’t know what to put on it.”

No prob-llama, friend, I’ve gotcha covered in 3 simple steps! These are the same steps you’ll find on my free 3-step vision guide that you can grab for free on my website. You can download & print it or type into the document.

Or you can take a piece of paper and fold it in 3rds.

  1. For the first column, ask yourself, “What are 3 outlandish dreams that I want to be manifested in my life in the next 5 to 10 years?” Do NOT limit yourself. Even if it sounds crazy. Have fun with it! Name those 3 dreams using the words “I am” or “I have” (use present tense verbs) For example, “I have NO debt.” “I am the founder of a non-profit.” “I am a published author.”

Now, write them down in the first column on your paper.

  1. For the second column, ask yourself, “What are 2 dreams that I want to see manifested in my life by the end of this year? Follow the same guidelines as before. Dream big. No judgment. Free yourself and give yourself permission to think outside the box.

  1. In the 3rd column, you’re going to write down one goal that you want to achieve in the next 30 days. So, write down the goal and the date range or month.

Then, reverse engineer your steps. Start with your achieved goals and work your way backward, writing down actionable, reasonable steps that you will do weekly to accomplish the goal. Then, break it down further to just 1-3 actionable, reasonable steps to take each day.

Keep this plan in front of you daily & check off the steps or adjust the steps as you go.

On the back of your paper, or on the next page of my vision guide, you will jot down images that you want to find that represent your dreams and goals that you listed in the 3 columns.

Add any favorite, inspiring quotes, affirmations or power words that you want on your board.

If you want your vision board to display your dreams for only one or two areas of your life, like your career or your health, then let that be your focus when you do this 3-step planning.

I want to celebrate with you when you finish your vision board, so snap a picture of it and send it to me or put it on your social media and tag me. My contact info is in the show notes.

Coming up in the next couple of episodes are more tips and tricks for creating & using vision boards and more interviews with awesome entrepreneurs. So, subscribe to this podcast so you don’t miss an episode, and share it with 3 friends that could use some encouragement to Dream Big & Kick Ass.

Starting in February 2022, I’ll be posting every other week on Tuesdays in order to make it more sustainable for me to keep bringing you encouragement and inspiration. We’ll see how that works out and make adjustments as needed.
